Box is a cloud-based storage solution and document signing solution

Features and Benefits

Box is used at Illinois Tech for

1. Documents requiring signatures.
2. Requesting secure uploading of documents.
3. Storage of data that requires extra compliance (HIPAA, PCI, etc...)

Available to

Faculty and staff that have a business need covered by the features and benefits listed above may request Box access.

Cost

There is no cost to the individual or department to use Box.

How to Access

1. If you were sent an email activation link, please follow the steps including creating a temporary password. Once the setup is complete sign out and go to step 2 to finish the Single Sign On (SSO) process. If you were not sent an email continue to step 2
2. Log into portal.iit.edu
3. Click Tools->Search for “Box” and click to launch the application
