What is the procedure for resetting passwords?
Answer
All password reset requests must come directly from the individual to whom the account belongs. The following options are available:
SELF-SERVICE: Reset your password via the portal (portal.iit.edu) by clicking Log In and then "Forget Password?"
WALK-IN: Come to the Support Desk in the Galvin Library, have your Illinois Tech ID with you for verification purpose, and reference this ticket.
PHONE: Call the Support Desk at 312-567-3375, reference this ticket, and our Support Desk staff will confirm your identity.
WEB CHAT: For our international students only, we have Skype available. Please email us at supportdesk@iit.edu with your appointment preference and a 30-minute window to contact you between 8:30am and 5pm Central Time, Monday through Friday. You will be contacted during your preferred 30-minute window via chat on Skype.
