How do I share things in Microsoft?

Answer

Using OneDrive:

File and document sharing: 

  1. Right-click on the file or folder you want to share 
  2. Select Share
  3. Enter the email addresses of the people you want to share with
  4. Choose the permissions (e.g., Can edit, Can view)
  5. Click Send

Get a sharing link: 

  1. Right-click on the file or folder. 
  2. Select Share
  3. Click on Copy link
  4. Adjust the link settings (e.g., Anyone with the link, People in your organization, Specific people). 
  5. Copy the link and share it via email or any other communication tool. "

 

Share using a Microsoft Team:

Share a File in a Chat or Channel: 

  1. Go to the chat or channel where you want to share the file. 
  2. Click on the Attach (paperclip) icon. 
  3. Select the file from your computer or OneDrive. 
  4. Click Send

Share a Link to a File: 

  1. Upload the file to the Files tab in a channel. 
  2. Right-click on the file and select Copy link
  3. Share the link in a chat or channel message.
